Director's Message

 

 

Dear Families,

 

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!  I would like to take a moment to introduce myself.  My name is Ann Graham and I am the new Director of Bitty Bucks Preschool.  I believe wholeheartedly in the importance of preschool education and am excited to be a part of this wonderful learning community.  Together we will nurture and grow your child’s skills in so many ways.  Thank you for choosing Bitty Bucks Preschool and we look forward to working with your family!

 

Why is Preschool Important?

 

1. Preschool Develops Social and Emotional Skills-Your child will have opportunities to cooperate with others, engage in conversation, appropriately express her feelings, and develop friendships.

2. Preschool Nurtures Curiosity and Creativity-Our preschool is set up to encourage exploration.  Students will develop their own thoughts and ideas through their discoveries.

3. Preschool Lets Children Make Choices-Students are encouraged to follow their interests while learning decision-making skills and responsibility.

4. Preschool Teaches Self-Help Skills-Your child will practice taking care of himself and others through hand washing, taking responsibility for personal belongings, and keeping the learning environment clean and safe.

5. Preschool Promotes Language Skills-In our language rich environment, students will learn new vocabulary, answer thought-provoking questions, and practice following directions. 

6. Preschool Develops Motor Skills-Your child will engage in large motor activities, such as climbing, jumping, and running.  In addition, she will coordinate the use of her hands while drawing, cutting, and manipulating small objects.

7. Preschool Builds Early Literacy and Math Skills-Students will have exposure to the alphabet through songs, rhymes, and learning materials.  Matching, sorting, and counting games will help them develop an understanding of numbers and math concepts.
